This time the scene of sky fireworks (meteor shower) is going to be special.
In this astronomical event (Geminids Meteor Shower), which will peak on Thursday night, 14th December, more than 120 meteor showers can be seen in 1 hour.
This meteor shower will be visible in all the countries located in the Northern Hemisphere including India from Thursday night till before dawn.
This is the most attractive astronomical phenomenon of the Earth's Northern Hemisphere, which astronomy lovers and scientists wait for.
The Geminids meteor shower is caused by debris from comet 3200 Phaethon. Actually, Phaethon revolves around the Sun in 524 days.
It passes between the Sun and Mercury. While passing close to the Earth, it leaves a lot of dust particles and meteors on the path of the Earth.
When the Earth passes through meteors, these meteors burn up after colliding with the Earth's atmosphere and a scene like fireworks is seen.
This meteor shower will be at its peak on 14 December. The Geminids meteors appear to come from the Gemini constellation.
For this reason its name has been linked to Geminids. Therefore this meteor shower will be visible in all directions of the Gemini constellation.
