Though both "Bard" and "Chat GPT" are language-based conversational AI models, there are important distinctions in their intended uses and design.

"Bard" is based on LaMDA, (Language Model for Dialogue Applications).  "ChatGPT" is based on OpenAI's GPT 3.5 series of language models, which finished training in early 2022.

Both technologies can distill complex information and different viewpoints into simple formats, but the most noticeable difference is Bard's capacity to include recent events in the responses.

"Bard" will have access to the most recent date and will be able to give more up-to-current fresh information, whereas Chat GPT's knowledge is limited to the events through 2021.

While "Chat GPT" is known to give some factual mistakes and build up stories, "Google's Bard AI" is thought to give users more accurate information.

Due to Google's massive data collection, "Bard AI" has an advantage over other AI platforms like "Chat GPT" in terms of the depth and scope of information it can access.

"Bard" can distill tough topics into usable, chitchat-worthy chunks.  "ChatGPT", on the other hand, creates content in response to the text prompt.

The purpose of "Bard" is to convey knowledge in a simple way that encourages learning in everyone, especially children.
