Research developments and innovations in recent years have changed the way cancer is treated.  Some recent updates are as follows --->

1. The weight-loss Effect

According to a new study, people who lost significant amounts of weight through bariatric surgery had a 32% lower chance of getting cancer and a 48% lower risk of cancer death than those who did not have the surgery. The study found that the more weight people lost, the lower their cancer risk became.

A small trial, in which 18 rectal cancer patients were given the same drug, "Dostarlimab", produced an extremely surprising and unexpected result  --->

Every single patient's cancer has vanished and is undetectable by physical examination, endoscopy, PET scans, or M.R.I. scans.  According to experts, this is the first time in history that a study has resulted in complete remission in every single cancer patient in Drug Trial.

Researchers genetically reprogrammed a woman's T cells to recognise and kill cancer cells, which helped her overcome advanced pancreatic cancer. However, another patient could not survive who received the same treatment.

4. In Chemotherapy

In the field of cancer treatment, a quiet revolution is taking place -  An increasing number of patients, in particular, those suffering from breast and lung cancer, are avoiding the dreaded treatment in favour of other options.

5. In Prostate cancer

Men with aggressive forms of the disease lived longer after receiving an experimental treatment that used radioactive molecules to seek out tumour cells. In the US, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men.

6. In Leukemia
