Total Solar Eclipse April 8 2024 (First Solar Eclipse of 2024)

The first solar eclipse of 2024 will occur on April 8. This will be a total solar eclipse. According to NASA reports, the eclipse will last for a long time.

A total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 will pass through North America, Mexico, the United States and Canada.

The total solar eclipse will begin over the South Pacific Ocean. On April 8, the moon's shadow will fall across the United States.

If weather conditions permit, the first location in continental North America to experience totality will be the Pacific Coast of Mexico at approximately 11:07 a.m. PDT.

A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Sun and Earth, blocking its disk from view but making its corona visible in a bright display.

At the time of total solar eclipse, the sky will become dark, as if it is morning or evening. Safety is the first priority when viewing a total solar eclipse.

Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter mounted in front of the camera lens, telescope, or optics can cause serious eye damage.

The path of the eclipse will continue from Mexico and enter the United States in Texas, and pass through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Small parts of Tennessee and Michigan will also experience a total solar eclipse. The eclipse will enter southern Ontario, Canada, and continue through Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton.

The eclipse will exit continental North America over the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, Canada at 5:16 pm NDT.

Total Solar Eclipse 2024 India? The total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024 will not be visible to anyone in India or even Asia. People can watch this astronomical event online.
