World Hindi Day 2023:  Theme, History & Importance of Vishwa Hindi Diwas on January 10

Every year on January 10, World Hindi Day is celebrated to promote awareness of the language around the world.

World Hindi Day History - On this day in 1975, the first World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur. Since then, such conferences are organized annually in various places around the world.

World Hindi Day History - World Hindi Day - This date also marks the first time Hindi, the national language of India, was spoken in the General Assembly of the United Nations.

World Hindi Day 2023 Theme - The theme this year for World Hindi Conference is, "Hindi – Traditional Knowledge to Artificial Intelligence".

This year, the Foreign Ministry in collaboration with the Fiji government will organize the 12th World Hindi Conference in Fiji from February 15 to 17.

The place for the event in 2023 was decided during the 11th World Hindi Conference, which was held in Mauritius the previous year.

The Ministry of External Affairs celebrates World Hindi Day or Vishwas Hindi Diwas, with much fanfare.

In addition to this, the Indian Postal Department furthermore publishes special commemorative stamps to mark the growth of Hindi as a language.

World Hindi Day or Vishwas Hindi Diwas is celebrated with huge pomp by the Ministry of External Affairs.

On a national and international level, many events are planned to promote Hindi. This typically includes events like poetry readings, quizzes, cultural events, speech competitions, and debates.

Hindi scholars from India and other countries will also be honored during the event with the "Vishwa Hindi Samman" for their special and noteworthy contributions to the field of Hindi.
