Advantages of PERT

The advantages of PERT technique are as follows:

1. It determines the expected time required for completing each activity.
2. It helps complete the project within a given period of time.
3. It helps management uncertainties involved in the project and thus, reduce the risk element in the project.
4. It enables management to make optimum allocation of limited resources.
5. It presses for the right action, at the right point and at the right time in the organization.
6. The project manager can easily schedule project activities with the help of the PERT system. This technique is more active in large, complex projects.
7. The PERT method will display the critical path in a clear and concise manner. The critical path contains activities that cannot be postponed under any circumstances.
8. It permits project managers to conduct ‘what if’ scenarios on project activities.

PERT तकनीक के लाभ इस प्रकार हैं:

1. यह प्रत्येक गतिविधि को पूरा करने के लिए आवश्यक अपेक्षित समय (expected time) निर्धारित करता है।
2. यह एक निश्चित अवधि के भीतर परियोजना को पूरा करने में मदद करता है।
3. यह परियोजना में शामिल प्रबंधन अनिश्चितताओं में मदद करता है और इस प्रकार, परियोजना में जोखिम तत्व को कम करता है।
4. यह प्रबंधन को सीमित संसाधनों का इष्टतम आवंटन करने में सक्षम बनाता है।
5. यह संगठन में सही बिंदु पर और सही समय पर सही कार्रवाई के लिए दबाव डालता है।
6. प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर PERT सिस्टम की मदद से प्रोजेक्ट गतिविधियों को आसानी से शेड्यूल कर सकता है। यह तकनीक बड़ी, जटिल परियोजनाओं में अधिक सक्रिय है।
7. PERT विधि महत्वपूर्ण पथ को स्पष्ट और संक्षिप्त तरीके से प्रदर्शित करेगी। महत्वपूर्ण पथ (critical path) में ऐसी गतिविधियाँ होती हैं जिन्हें किसी भी परिस्थिति में स्थगित नहीं किया जा सकता है।
8. यह परियोजना प्रबंधकों को परियोजना गतिविधियों पर ‘क्या होगा अगर’ विश्लेषण करने की अनुमति देता है।
