♦ Potatoes are also beneficial for health in many ways. Usually, potato vegetable is made in most of the houses daily and eating it does not make a person sick, but potato should also be consumed in proper quantity.
♦ Some people say that potatoes increase fat or obesity, although many people deny this.
♦ Eating dishes made from potatoes provides a lot of carbohydrates and proteins. Due to this, the stomach feels full for a long time. If hardworking people consume potatoes, then their weakness is removed.
♦ There is a lot of starch in potatoes, so eating them gives energy to the body. The yellow part of potato i.e. its pulp contains beta carotene, which has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They protect the cells of the body from oxidants and stress.
♦ Eating roasted potatoes mixed with rock salt provides relief in constipation (but eat it in proper quantity).
♦ Potato for Eyes- Washing a raw potato thoroughly and cutting it into two pieces and keeping it on closed eyes for 10 minutes removes all the tiredness and heat of the eyes (the same benefit is also done by keeping cucumber pieces).
♦ If most people like anything made of potatoes, then they eat it in large quantities. Due to this, it can be difficult to digest, because potatoes are heavy to digest, as well as thicken the stool, so eating more of it causes sluggishness and gas in the stomach can also be a problem.
Potato benefits for skin
♦ Potatoes are very beneficial for the skin. If a fresh raw potato is cut or juice of potato is rubbed on the skin daily, then all the blackness of the skin gets removed and the glow also increases.
♦ Rubbing pieces of raw potato or its juice on the feet every day ends all the blackness of the claws.
♦ Raw potato juice (or cucumber juice) is also applied to remove dark circles under the eyes.
♦ The use of potato juice does not cause wrinkles in the skin. Freckles, blackness and blemishes are removed and the glow increases.
♦ If there is a burning sensation in any part of the skin, then raw potato juice can be applied on it.
Potato face pack
Mix equal quantity of raw potato juice and raw milk and heat it on low flame by stirring continuously. When this paste becomes thick like cream, then take it off the fire and cool it well. Then add a small amount of aloevera gel, a few capsules of vitamin-E and a little almond rogan to it.
Massage the face with this paste with light hands for about 5 minutes, then wash the face after about half an hour. You can keep this face pack in the fridge and use it daily (if the paste gets spoiled or smells bad, do not use it). This pack can also be used on hands and feet.
Precautions in eating potatoes
♦ The green part of potato should never be eaten. The green color of potato is due to solanine which reduces the quality of potato. This green color gets due to the strong rays of the sun falling on the open part of the potato.
♦ If the potatoes have become soft, or if some foul smell or some water is coming from it, then it should not be used at all.
♦ There is some black part in the pulp of some potato. Such potatoes should not be eaten at all.
♦ Potato consumption is not beneficial for diabetic patients, or people who need to control their sugar level.
♦ People who have weak digestive power, or who have problems with gas or bloating or indigestion, they should consume potatoes in the right amount.
