Uses of Classification of Data:

The following are the main uses of data classification:

1. It condenses a large amount of data into a simplified manner.

2. It removes unnecessary and extraneous details.

3. It allows for more effective comparison and highlights the important aspects of data.

4. It enables one to get a mental image of the data and aids in drawing inferences.

5. It aids in the statistical analysis of the data gathered.

6. It facilitates the similarity of various and different groups.

7. It organises complex, haphazard, and scattered data in a clear, logical, homogenous, and understandable manner.

8. It keeps complex data as clear and simple as possible.

When the data collected is diverse, classification is required for effective presentation and analysis.

In a good classification, characteristics of clarity, scale equality, homogeneity, purposefulness, precision, flexibility, stability, and unambiguity should all be present.

डेटा वर्गीकरण के उपयोग:

डेटा वर्गीकरण (data classification) के मुख्य उपयोग निम्नलिखित हैं:

1. यह बड़ी मात्रा में डेटा के द्रव्यमान को सरलीकृत रूप में संघनित करता है।

2. यह अनावश्यक और बाहरी विवरणों को हटा देता है।

3. यह अधिक प्रभावी तुलना की सुविधा प्रदान करता है और डेटा के महत्वपूर्ण पहलुओं पर प्रकाश डालता है।

4. यह डेटा की एक मानसिक छवि (तस्वीर) प्राप्त करने में सक्षम बनाता है और निष्कर्ष (inferences) निकालने में सहायता करता है।

5. यह एकत्रित आंकड़ों के सांख्यिकीय विश्लेषण में सहायता करता है।

6. यह अलग-अलग और विभिन्न समूहों की समानता को सरल बनाता है।

7. यह जटिल, बेतरतीब और बिखरे हुए डेटा को स्पष्ट, तार्किक, समरूप और समझने योग्य तरीके से व्यवस्थित करता है।

8. यह जटिल डेटा को यथासंभव स्पष्ट और सरल रखता है।

जब एकत्र किया गए डेटा (आंकड़ों) में विविधता हो, तो प्रभावी सार्थक प्रस्तुति और विश्लेषण के लिए वर्गीकरण की आवश्यकता होती है।

एक अच्छे वर्गीकरण में स्पष्टता, पैमाने की समानता, एकरूपता, उद्देश्यपूर्णता, सटीकता, लचीलापन, स्थिरता और अस्पष्टता की विशेषताएं होनी चाहिए।
