One of those spices is sweet neem, which has a different significance in the Indian kitchen. Sweet neem is also known as ‘curry leaves’. Sweet Neem is found all over India. It is a bushy and aromatic tree and its height is not very high.

Actually, sweet neem was specially used to put in curry, hence it was named ‘Curry Leaf’. In Marathi, it is called ‘Kadhi Nimb’. But now sweet neem is used to enhance the taste of almost every type of food. Curry leaves not only enhance the taste of food manifold, but it is also helpful in maintaining our health. Many medicinal properties are found in it. Today we are going to tell you its many big benefits.

Properties and uses of sweet neem

Fruits grown on sweet neem can be eaten, but their seeds are not eaten. Sweet neem plants or trees can also be grown in gardens. People also plant it in small pots in their house and keep using it as per the need.

Sweet neem leaves contain vitamins B and C. Apart from this, iron, calcium and phosphorus are also found in them. Vitamin-A is found more in sweet neem leaves than spinach and fenugreek. Carbohydrates and protein are also 2 to 3 times more than other vegetables.

According to experts, sweet neem is very beneficial for hair, skin, digestion and stomach. It also increases immunity. It is used as a herb in Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, sweet neem leaves also act as anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-hypercholesterolemic. Oil is also extracted from the leaves of sweet neem, which is also used to treat eczema or wounds.

Use of sweet neem in different problems

Sweet Neem for hair

All the nutrients to keep hair healthy are found in sweet neem. For good hair health, you can eat sweet neem leaves after washing them thoroughly. It can be used in many ways by grinding it or boiling it in water. Daily use of sweet neem leaves ends hair problems, as well as the problem of dandruff also ends.

For healthy hair –

тАв Grind a few leaves of sweet neem and apply it on the scalp and then shampoo the hair after 15-20 minutes.

тАв Boil sweet neem leaves in coconut oil and when it is lukewarm or cool, massage the hair with light hands. After about 1-2 hours, shampoo the hair.

тАв Dry the sweet neem leaves thoroughly and grinds them to make powder. Then mix this powder in some coconut oil or olive oil and boil it well. After boiling well, cool or warm this oil. Massage the hair with this oil with light hands and then shampoo the hair after one or two hours.

Sweet Neem for the face

Sweet neem has also been used to enhance the beauty of the face since ancient times, as it can eliminate many skin problems from the root. You can use it as a face pack.

Sweet Neem for healthy skin

Make a powder by grinding sweet neem leaves dry thoroughly in the sun. Mix some Rose water and Multani mitti and some coconut oil or olive oil in this powder. Apply this paste to your face and after about 20 minutes wash your face with plain water.

Sweet Neem for Pimples

Clean and grind sweet neem leaves thoroughly. Add a little lemon juice to it and apply it to the pimples and acne areas. After about 15 minutes wash your face with plain water. By doing this the problem of acne and pimples ends.

тАв Sweet Neem is a good insecticide. It is helpful in removing rot. It acts as good medicine for eczema and wounds. Grind sweet neem leaves and apply them to the wound or eczema, their germs start ending.

тАв Sweet Neem acts as a natural anti-oxidant. Chewing sweet neem leaves daily keeps the stomach clean, strengthens digestion and also reduces extra fat, which removes many problems related to the stomach and skin. It is beneficial for the eyes and also for kidney patients.

тАв By chewing 6-7 leaves of sweet neem daily, high blood pressure remains under control. Chewing on sweet neem leaves ends dysentery.

тАв The problem of stomach upset ends by drinking sweet neem leaves in buttermilk.

тАв Taking sweet neem leaves with honey provides relief for diarrhoea, dysentery and piles.

тАв Grinding and applying sweet neem leaves end swelling and pain caused by the sting of a poisonous creature or insect.

тАв Consuming fresh curry leaves in the morning also provides relief for diabetes.

тАв Taking a decoction of sweet neem leaves stops vomiting. Grind these leaves with water and filter it and drink it, it provides relief from bloody diarrhoea.
